Carlow’s famed Road to Nowhere could soon be going somewhere.
The County Council’s Chief Executive has this week signed the order to appoint consultants for the first four phases of the Carlow Southern Relief route.
It’s being hailed a major step forward for the project which aims to alleviate traffic congestion in the main county town and will open up lands for development.
And though it’ll still be a couple of years before boots are on the ground, Cllr John Cassin says it’s a step forward and one which when realised will have a huge impact;
