It seems plans for a new respite care centre for children in Carlow are finally moving forward.
Senator Jennifer Murnane O Connor says she understands from the HSE that a contract has been awarded but says she hasnt been told who it is.

Tír na nÓg which had been providing the service closed in December 2015 with no replacement since.
The Carlow Senator says there has been some progress but full details are not yet known.
However she told KCLR Live she understands it will be going ahead in June and will be based in Bagenalstown.
