Upwards of 50 eviction cases have been heard before the court in Kilkenny in the last month.
That’s according to Councillor Seán Tyrell who says he has been part of a group of people demonstrating in support of the people involved outside the court sittings.
He says in the region of 30 cases were heard locally three weeks ago with between 15 and 20 heard last week.
Councillor Tyrell told KCLR that cases are being heard all this week as well.
