Tullow’s water network is to see major upgrades in the coming months.
Uisce Éireann is to overhaul 2km of the town’s six decades old system which has been plagued by burst pipes and water pressure issues.
Works are set to start on the tenth of February and local Fine Gael Cllr Ben Ward told KCLR that disruption will be kept to a minimum; “Bridge Street and The Square in Tullow won’t be shut during the day for any of the works and then the other streets aside to that will be shut for a period of time and they’ve also assured us that the street leading up to the school will only be done on school holidays so they’re trying their best to cause minimal disruption, even though there will be some”.
