Court date due for teenage motorist clocked travelling at more than 200km an hour on M9

A motorist is set to face the courts after being clocked travelling in excess of 200km an hour on the M9.

Naas Roads Policing Unit was on covert patrol when it noticed the vehicle in the Kilcullen area over the weekend.

Four young people were on board including the driver who was aged in the late teens and on a learner permit.

An arrest was made and the car impounded.
