A Callan resident says thefts from the local cemetery are happening more and more frequently.

Back in July of last year, KCLR reported that items including family flowers, stone chippings and ornaments were being stolen from graves in Kilbride cemetery. It seems there’s been no let-up since.

Jeannie Frampton lives in Callan and she says graves there are being targeted by thieves all the time.

Speaking to KCLR News, she said some families have been the victims of this more than once describing it as ‘horrendous’.

She said its getting to the stage where they  might have to start calling for CCTV to be installed there.
