Death announced of south Kilkenny man whose cancer battle hit the hearts of many

The death has been announced of a south Kilkenny man who many rallied around as he battled cancer. 

Tommy Griffin’s story hit the hearts of many – diagnosed in 2014 with melanoma, he spent years bravely fighting this illness before his condition began to deteriorate.

A GoFundMe launched earlier this year saw close to €150,000 generated – in March he travelled to Germany to meet with specialists there.

Sadly, the Garda Detective, husband and father of four who’s originally from Robinstown, Glenmore, lost his battle over the weekend.

His funeral details have yet to be announced. (Details will be published here).
