Pat Deering says the only downfall of an action plan to rejuvenate rural Ireland is that it does include enough agricultural initiatives.
The 60 million euro Action Plan for Rural Development which was launched yesterday is aiming to create 135,000 jobs by 2020.
The plan has more than 270 actions aimed at revitalising towns and villages in every county.
Fine Gael TD and Oireachtas Agriculture Committee chairman, Pat Deering says he welcomes the plan but it is slightly lacking when it comes to agriculture.
