Amid a host of business closures locally, it’s great to see some opening their doors.
Yesterday, we heard concerns regarding the closure of pubs in particular with a knock-on effect for the communities around them. (More on that here).
But in Thomastown there was some good news, many delighted to see the former Tim’s Bar on the Quays reopen with John Mac’s Bar beginning trading this weekend.
Meanwhile, Callan’s set to get another cafe.
Already boasting Fennelly’s on Bridge Street, Ed’s Cafe at Brett’s Hardware and the recently relocated Fika, with offerings too at local pubs, supermarkets and service stations, now the crew behind Cupan Cafe at the Watershed are set to open their second in the town.
