Episode 41 – Battle of Knocknagress

Just outside Tullaroan there is a beautiful, well maintained monument, that remembers two men, Patrick Walsh and John Quinn who were members of the Kilkenny Brigade of the Irish Volunteers who lost their lives on 13th May 1921 after being shot by the Black & Tans in what is known as the Battle of Knocknagress. In this programme Paddy O’Neill a member of the Knocknagress Committee remembers the two men and the events around that time
