What Has Europe Ever Done for the Environment – Programme 2 – Greener Farming

In this programme we discuss the topic of Greener Farming and speak with Bryan Daniels, a dairy farmer in south Kilkenny and the 2019 Overall & Sustainable Farming Grassland Farmer of the Year. We also speak with Martin Shannon, Chair of the Blackstairs Mountain Farmers who received funding from Europe under the Rural Development fund, to support a pilot project called – Blackstairs Farming Futures (BFF) Sustainable farming project. Susan Clarke also discusses the Farm to Fork Strategy, the European Green Deal and Sustainable Agriculture in the CAP.
