Drivers warned to take care as heavy fog affects Carlow Kilkenny

Drivers are urged to take care this morning as heavy fog envelops large parts of Carlow and Kilkenny.

There is reports of very heavy fog on the M9 motorway and gardai are drivers to slow down and to use dipped headlights as well as their rear foglights in the conditions.

The fog is expected to clear by later today and there are so far no reports of any accidents on any main routes throughout both counties
