Duck and ducklings out on the M9 between Carlow and Kilkenny

Motorists using the M9 between Kilkenny and Carlow are urged to take care. 

A duck and about ten ducklings have made their way onto the motorway, last seen just before 2pm just after the Paulstown junction by those in a car who were heading north.

A number of vehicles approaching the ducks were also seen swerving to avoid them.

Gardaí have been notified and you’re asked to approach the area with caution.
