€7million allocated to Carlow and Kilkenny county councils for active travel projects

39 active travel projects in Carlow and Kilkenny are set to share €7million in grant funding.

Each county gets €3million from the National Transport Authority to improve accessibility for pedestrians and cyclists (breakdown below).

An extra €1 million has been earmarked for the enhancement of bus stops across both counties.
