€89,000 in capital funding has been made available for Carlow pre-school providers.
The money will go to 16 Carlow community and private providers.
It comes following Catherine Zappone’s announcement of more than €6.5 million – through the department of Children and youth affairs.
The grants awarded are expected to be used for the likes of minor building alterations and additional play equipment.
