Eleven projects locally will recieve almost €500,000 in funding

11 projects in our locality are to share almost half a million euro in funding.

It’s as €12.3 million in Clár Funding has been announced today by Minister for Rural and Community Development and the Gaeltacht, Dara Calleary

Schools, clubs and community groups are in line for CLAR funding that will allow them to fund playgrounds, astro-turf pitches, walking tracks, spectator stands and upgrades of community centres.

Garyhill Handball Club in Carlow is set to receive €53,500, chairperson Ollie Ryan is delighted with the news.

Coolya Community Hall in Callan will also receive just over €77,000 which committe member Joe Lyons says is very welcome.
