Extra care’s needed this morning as rain lashes down.
The eastern coast, from Belfast Lough to Wicklow Head to Roche’s Point and on the Irish Sea, is under a Status Yellow Gale Warning until 9am according to Met Éireann.
Southerly winds are set to reach gale force eight.
But while it’s windy in Carlow and Kilkenny, the focus is more on how wet it’s getting in parts of both counties with extra surface water seeing road users being urged to take caution.
