Film shot by Kilkenny crew wins at festival in United States

A film which was worked on by a Kilkenny-based crew has won a major award in the United States.

‘Bridget’, which tells the story of Bridget Cleary from Ballyvadlea near Mullinahone, saw Anne Williamson take the award for Best First-Time Female Director at the Indie X Film Festival.

Ms. Cleary was killed by her husband, who believed she was a fairy changeling and persuaded others she was a witch.

Diceman Productions from Kilkenny was involved in the production.
