Focus on Irish language underway in Carlow and Kilkenny as Seachtain na Gaeilge takes hold

Seachtain na Gaeilge 2025 is officially underway sparking a programme of events locally in celebration of the Irish language.

In Kilkenny these include a free tour of Kilkenny Castle ‘as Gaeilge’.

While in Carlow it kicks off with Féile Scoildrámaíochta Cheatharlach, the schools’ Irish drama festival running all day from 10am in the GB Shaw Theatre as Bride de Roiste’s been outlining for KCLR News;
