Met Eireann has issued a yellow alert for dense fog in Carlow and Kilkenny.
The national forecaster says dense fog is expected across Leinster from 5am to 10am on Thursday.

Wednesday night will be cold and dry with long clear spells with temperature due to drop below freezing.
They say mist and fog patches will form and these will be dense in places.
