Former Major General of Irish army from Kilkenny hopes international community will come together to help form a strong Lebanese Government

A retired Major General from Kilkenny who served in Lebanon says the international community needs to come together to form a strong Government there.

Irish troops have been involved in the peace keeping mission in Lebanon since the late seventies – that’s set to end next year following yesterday’s decision was taken by the UN Security Council to end the UNIFIL operation.
