Four teenagers were arrested following yesterday’s crash in Carlow which involved a stolen vehicle.
The theft of a black Ford Ranger pick up truck from the Rathcoole area of county Dublin had been reported to Gardaí in the early hours of the morning.
It was located by Gardaí on mobile patrol just after 7:30am travelling on Chaff Street, Graiguecullen before it left that scene and was in collision with another car and a motorcycle.
The motorcyclist, a man aged in his thirties, was taken to Cork University Hospital for treatment of what have been described as ‘serious injuries’ – it appears his were the only injuries reported.
Four teenage boys were arrested and have been detained under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act, 1984 at Garda stations in County Carlow.
A technical examination of the scene’s been carried out but investigations are ongoing.
