Funding awarded to Myshall group to expand links with community in the North

Myshall Muintir na Tire has been awarded over €13,000 to fund the development of their links with the village of Bangor in County Down.

As part of the government’s “co-operation with Northern Ireland 2024” scheme, over 165,000 euros was earmarked for community groups in the south, who aim to strenghten ties with northern communities.

Myshall’s planned partnership with Bangor commemorates St. Columbanus’ pilgrim trail, and includes a planned all-island walk between both communities.
