A Kilkenny councillor says a new funding boost for Inistioge will benefit locals and tourists alike.
€200,000 has been allocated for developments at the Kilkenny village and the Woodstock Gardens.
A major part of the plans are to build a new car park with 50 spaces near the hurling pitch.
Councillor Michael Doyle says the lack of parking in the village has been a problem for a long time and could be preventing tourists from stopping and spending time in the area.
