Gardaí investigating substantial theft at a housing estate in Tullow

Gardaí in Tullow are investigating the theft of a large quantitiy of home heating oil from last week

1,200 Litres of freshly purcahsed oil was delivered to a home in the Park Gate estate on Tuesday evening last at 7pm and on Wednesday at the same time the owner found an empty tank.

This type of crime is more prevalent as homeowners stock up.

This theft would have required the work of at least two individuals and a large van or car and trailer.
