First of all we heard an interview recorded with EU Commissioner Phil Hogan from the Citizens’ Dialogue Forum held in Kilkenny today, with topics ranging from the Fine Gael leadership election, the upcoming UK general election, the ever present Brexit and EU budgetary issues.
We then heard from Paddy Bruton of Irish Forestry Services Limited about the new Forestry Act, about ash die-back and the general state of the timber market.
Eamonn Pitts spoke to us about the latest Teagasc Farm Income Survey and Bernard Ging, President of the Irish Grassland Association about upcoming events including a dairy tour in Carlow and Kilkenny in July.
Michael Lynch joined us to speak about recent events at Cillin Hill and he also provided the weekly Mart Report.
