Gowran park launch 100 year celebrations

Gowran park will host 14 meeting this year to mark the 100 year of racing at the course

Events were launched in Kilkenny city last night as Thyestes day get’s the celebrations underway on the 23rd of this month.

That’s followed by Redmills day on the 15th of February and June will see a special centenary weekend take place while the Kilkenny Gaa will also host their own race day on the 8th of March

Kerry jockey Bryan Cooper is hoping to be involved on Thyestes day–he told KCLR he’s enjoying his early days as number one jockey at Gigginstown

Racing at Dundalk later starts at at 6.15pm.
