Graiguecullen’s soup kitchen is “thriving” as it approaches it’s 1-year-anniversary.
That’s according to Father John Dunphy who was heavily involved in setting up the Poor Clare Soup Kitchen on May 13th last year.
The facility was set up in response to the growing numbers that were availing of food parcels that the parish had been handing out to those in need locally.
Speaking to KCLR News, Father Dunphy says the demand for this service is also huge as they cater for 100 people a day, 3 days a week.
