Former Kilkenny minor, 2 time All-Ireland club winner with Cuala and TG4 analyst Naoise Waldron has welcomed the addition of Niall Corcoran to the Kilkenny senior set up.
Former Dublin corner back Corcoran is the Head Coach under manager Derek Lyng.
Waldron outlined his thoughts to the KCLR Hurling podcast.
“Niall Corcoran obviously he works in the same job as me. I worked alongside him on the county board and stuff. I just joked with him there before Christmas when
I heard I said, God, you’re touring around as much as me at this stage. He’s coached so many inter-county teams, Wexford and Laois. He was in Laois of course with Eddie Brennan.
He is a brilliant coach. He is a brilliant talent coach. Eddie Brennan was with us with Cuala for a year as well. Excellent.”
Don’t forget Kilkenny open their Allianz League campaign at home to Offaly this Sunday afternoon at UPMC Nowlan Park.
That’s a game you can hear live on KCLR.
