There’s huge sadness among the local arts community’s following the unexpected but peaceful death of a well-known talent.
Thomastown native Helen Comerford Lambert’s career spanned more than four decades – she was renowned for her paintings and was one of twelve to feature in TG4’s Samhlú series.
Helen was married to sculptor David Lambert and was a mother and grandmother.
She’ll be reposed at her residence this evening from 5pm to 8pm while a celebration of her life will take place tomorrow at 11am in the Community Hall, Thomastown, followed by removal to the Island Crematorium, Ringaskiddy, Co Cork for private family service.
Curator and art historian Catherine Marshall worked closely with Helen and paid tribute to her on The KCLR Daily this morning – hear that conversation with our Edward Hayden here;
