Hurling great TJ Reid is looking forward to reopening his leisure business this week

A prominent local gym owner says they aren’t likely to get busy until Tuesday or Wednesday next week.

It’s as the loosening of restrictions will see the leisure facilities reopen on Monday, alongside outdoor service in pubs, cafes and restaurants.

Kilkenny hurler TJ Reid runs his own gym on the outskirts of the city, and one in Galway.

He says local people have done well to keep up their during the lockdown;

TJ says people need to ease themselves back into their gym routine. ”Find what you enjoy, if it’s cycling, running, walking, swimming. If you enjoy what you’re doing it won’t feel like hard work. However, easing into it’s key.”
