The outgoing local Fine Gael Deputy has thanked all who supported him during his TD tenure.
John Paul Phelan was elected to Kilkenny County Council in 1999, then served as a Senator before winning a seat in the Dáil for the Carlow Kilkenny constituency in 2011.
He’s also been Minister of State for Local Government and Electoral Reform (2017 to 2020).
The Tullougher native broke the news that he’d not be running in the 2024 General Election on KCLR in April 2023 (listen back here).
