Farmers are coming out in force today to show how important they are to our local economies.
From about 11am convoys of tractors and farm machinery will make their way through county towns, including Tullow and Kilkenny City as part of a national day of action.
Marion Dalton is Vice-Chair of Carlow IFA and she says there will be traffic disruption but she’s appealing for patience while Chair of the Kilkenny branch Jim Mulhall says many local businesses wouldn’t survive without the money spent by farmers.
