IKEA will officially launch their newest outlet today.
The Swedish furniture retailer confirmed to KCLR News earlier this month that they’d chosen Carlow for their fifth Plan and Order point.
Doors open this morning at the unit at the Fairgreen Shopping Centre – stay tuned for more.
Deputy Market Manager Cheryl Beckett has been telling KCLR News that “It’s an area here in Carlow where we’ve identified that people love, we have researched the data and this is why we’ve taken the opportunity to open a new unit of this kind here in Carlow today”.
“It’s slightly different to the Ballymun store, this is a small store that’s there to design kitchens and bedrooms within the unit, we offer everything from designing, delivery, installation, you can also go into the unit and place an order for one of our service pick-up points which is Tescos so we offer a quite near you service where you can go to a local Tesco after placing an order in the unit and you can collect your order, the facility’s free of charge, you can also place an order that you may want to be delivered or you can place an order for click and collect at our Ballymun store”.
Most importantly the doors are open, she says, at “9 o’clock, 9am this morning, within there we will showcase six different kitchens, wardrobe solutions, we have a planning area and a studio, we have four co-workers that are available to welcome the customers in to place an order and this is a really, really exciting opportunity to support our growth within Ireland”.
UPDATE hear how the first day went here.
