INMO warning that St Luke’s Hospital won’t be able to cope with patient numbers in the winter

The INMO is warning that St Luke’s Hospital won’t be able to cope with patient numbers in the winter.

The Irish Nurses and Midwives Organisation has released figures showing that the local hospital had 348 people who had to wait on trollies for a bed in July.

Nationally the Trolley watch tally for last month rose to almost 7,000.

Kilkenny man Liam Doran is general Secretary of the INMO – he says St Luke’s is suffering the same problems as other hospitals in the south east.
