Investigation underway after death of man in Tipperary / Kilkenny / Waterford border area

An investigation’s been launched following the death of a man in Carrick-on-Suir.

He was found unresponsive at about 2:30am this morning (Tuesday, 9th Sept) and was taken to University Hospital Waterford where he was later pronounced dead.

Gardaí say they’re investigating all of the circumstances surrounding his discovery and the scene remains preserved for technical examination.
