Gardaí are appealing for witnesses to a road traffic incident over the weekend that left some of its Carlow team in hospital.
They’d attempted to stop a car on the O’Brien Road shortly before 9pm on Saturday (5th Oct) but it failed to stop and instead struck several Garda vehicles before being intercepted.
The driver, a man aged in his twenties, was arrested, charged and brought before court in Waterford yesterday where he was remanded on court bail back to Carlow.
His occupants were uninjured however four Gardaí were taken to St Luke’s General Hospital where they were treated for non-life-threatening injuries.
KCLR News understands all four are okay.
Anybody who was in the area at the time and who has footage is asked to contact Carlow Garda Station 059-9136620, the Garda Confidential Line 1800 666 111, or any Garda station.
