Invite to answer questions on Mother & Baby Homes report likely to be extended again says Carlow Kilkenny SF TD
Her call comes as the Tánaiste says there's no valid reason why members shouldn't face questions

The Tanaiste says there’s “no valid reason” why members of the Mother & Baby Homes commission of investigation shouldn’t face questions by TDs and Senators about their report.
Professor Mary Daly, one of its members, told an Oxford seminar yesterday that testimony from some survivors was discounted.
She said it was because anything contained in the final report had to meet “robust legal standards” of evidence.
Leo Varadkar says commission members should come before the Oireachtas to answer questions and meet survivors to address their concerns.
Carlow Kilkenny Sinn Féin TD Kathleen Funchion chairs the Oireachtas Children’s Committee and on KCLR Live earlier said the invite will likely be extended again to the Commission members.
On the same programme, Maggie relived her experience of Bessborough while adoptee and KCLR presenter Martin Bridgeman also had some views to share.
