Ireland’s first ever 24/7 Automated Retail Vending Store has opened in New Ross.
E-Kiosk Ireland stocks everyday convenience items like milk and snacks, as well as a wide array of sought-after imported goods.
Its owners say it’s the initial step in a plan to roll out automated retail vending stores nationwide.
Digital Director of the shop, Jordan Casey, says the team were inspired by stores in Eastern Asia, noting; “We were just always taken back by the vending concepts that we came across in Asia, in the likes of Japan and Korea where these concepts would be basically a normal part of daily life to have a vending machine for anything and the team have a background in vending machines, in creating milk vending machines for farmers, and I suppose this interest in vending machines against the concept is what, sort of, really drove our infatuation for it”.
