Ireland’s Junior Eurovision hopeful from Kilkenny now in Spain ahead of weekend contest

A Kilkenny teenager has travelled to Spain where she’ll represent Ireland in the Junior Eurovision later this week.

14-year-old Enya Cox Dempsey from Castlecomer came through the national selection process which was televised on TG4.

Her Mother Róisín Cox is among a deputation to travel to watch the contest in Madrid on Saturday.

She’s set to perform an original Irish number called ‘Le Chéile’.
