The housing rental market locally is at crisis point at the moment.
Just a handful of properties are currently available for rent in Carlow and Kilkenny with estate agents saying they have lists of people waiting.
Kieran Dunphy of DNG Ella Dunphy in Kilkenny told KCLR Live earlier that this morning on Daft.ie just 14 properties were available to rent in Kilkenny city & county and 17 in Carlow.
He says they have lists of people awaiting somewhere to rent.
