Former Labour Minister Ann Phelan and her former parliamentary assistant Mag Whelan reflect on Ann’s time in Government.
The ex-Minister described how she was in favour of a “State of the Nation” address on the economic crisis.
She said: “People didn’t know just how bad it really was. We knew on the inside but we didn’t tell the people as it would have destroyed the country.”
