Lorcan Scott, Wildlife Officer at The Heritage Council has some advice on what to do if a bat enters your home.

They won’t harm you in any way but there are a few things you can do to get them back outside safely.

Locan’s advice is if one bat enters your home, for advice about bats roosting in or around your home, contact the National Parks and Wildlife Service for advice as all bats are protected in Ireland.
