Popular KCLR presenter to feature on TV screens tonight.
The third series of ‘Éadaí SOS’ sees presenters Caoimhe Ní Chathail and Proinsias Ó Coinn on a mission to get us thinking differently about our wardrobes.
Our shopping habits can have a terrible impact on the environment and on our planet. Every year millions of tonnes of clothing are burned or dumped in landfill, yet for many of us our fast fashion addiction continues.
Produced by Waddell Media Teo with funding from TG4, BBC NI and ILBF NI, the run sees Caoimhe and Proinsias challenge six clothing-obsessed fashionistas to alter their shopping habits and embrace a more sustainable way of enjoying their passion for fashion.
This evening’s installment revolves around our Shannon Redmond who’s always buying new clothes and doesn’t like to be seen in the same outfit more than once!
To help combat her habits Caoimhe and her helpers confiscated Shannon’s clothes for further analysis, leaving her with just 15 items of clothing for a fortnight.
And during that time she was also banned from shopping too.
Watch from 8:30pm to see Caoimhe, Shannon and Shannon‘s Gran visit a charity shop, learn how to sell clothes online and see if Shannon has been inspired to make more sustainable shopping choices.
Shannon, who is one half of The Afternoon Crew (weekdays 1-4pm on KCLR) told our Una Ní Mhaoldhomnaigh all about it on The KCLR Daily earlier today;
