The charity formed to promote projects for the benefit of social and economic development in Kilkenny has a new city base.
Kilkenny Industrial Development Company (KIDCo) has bought the former KBC bank building, located just off The Parade.
The Rose Inn Street premises comprises 6,600 square feet over three floors – its ground level is initially being used as a workshop and exhibition space for Yulefest in the run up to Christmas.
And there’s a range of potential future uses for it, including a creative hub, an evolving location for exhibitions and cultural activities, a base for theatre and performing arts organisations, educational and cultural programmes, incubation spaces for innovative and emerging creative businesses.
