Kilkenny began 2014 in style on Sunday as they overcame DIT in the Walsh cup q-final by 5-23 to 1-9.
JJ Farrell and Mark Kelly scored two goals each for a team that included Tommy Walsh and Paul Murphy as well as TJ Reid and Colin Fennelly
They will now take on Galway next weekend in the semi final at a Kilkenny venue-Anthony Cunningham’;s side edged Offaly by a point in Tullamore.
