A Kilkenny Councillor wants a local tax on chewing gum.
Joe Malone and his colleagues in Kilkenny Municipal District were given a presentation on the Draft Litter Management Plan last week which prompted his call.
He says it costs thousands every year to remove gum and thinks adding 15 cent on to a packet might help.
