Kilkenny gearing up for one of its biggest sporting events

Kilkenny’s set to host one of its biggest sporting occasions later.

It’s Thyestes Day at Gowran Park Racecourse, an event billed as one to stop the county and one which boosts local coffers.

Thousands are expected there with first race going to post at 1:03pm and the Goffs Thyestes Chase slated for 2:48.
