Kilkenny Nativity wins major US award

The Kilkenny Nativity has won a major award.

The unique take on St Luke’s account of the Christmas Story, told by a range a people locally including former senior county hurler & manager Brian Cody and pupils of Presentation Convent national school, was shown by RTÉ over the festive season.

It’s won the USA’s leading media prize, the Wilbur Award, which has previously gone to Morgan Freeman, Oprah Winfrey, ABC’s 20/20, Vanity Fair, and The New York Times.
