Sadness and shock has fallen upon the soccer community in Kilkenny following the death of one of their members.
The man, believed to be in his 40s fell ill during a soccer match last night and tragically died
He was taking part in a charity event with the proceeds in aid of Cois Nore Cancer Support Kilkenny.
Gardai were notified of the man’s death and it is being treated as a medical incident.
